On Hiatus

Just so everyone knows SXU is On hiatus till further notice. SXU Is kind of my pet project so I want to do it right and I’m at a point in my life where I don’t have the time to keep up with the complex nature of the comic. I’m going to come back to it when I feel the time is right, but for now I have started a new project.

You can check out Tokyo Rejects here. It’s another idea that I have had in my mind for a year now, and I even used it as my main idea for my essay to apply to Columbia College Chicago so I figured it was time I start developing this far more casual project. It’s not as meaningful or emo in nature as SXU, Which I know some of my more vocal readers enjoy. However, It does have a deeper story that we will see more of as I get heavy into it. Check it out and give it a chance that’s all I ask. I hope you all find it to be enjoyable because I am enjoying doing it.

School daze

Here’s a little bit of an update with whats been going on. I have been studying for My G.E.D. very hard. In the past I have been reluctant to admit that that is what I’m working on because I honestly quiet embarrassed that I did not properly finish high school. I have my first part of the test this Saturday, and the next part of it the Saturday after that. My plans are to then attend 2 semesters at my local community college then if I can get accepted I want to start at Columbia college in Chicago. This is all very exciting to me as I have been out of school for quiet some time now.

I have been tossing around the idea of maybe putting SXU on hold and doing a less serious comic for a while, using a basic 3 panel a comic setup. I wouldn’t mind doing smaller SXU comics but I don’t think that would be right for the style of the plot. If anyone would like to voice there opinion let me know in the comments below or in an e-mail to Jasonkidrowski@gmail.com. I will post about my choice in a week or two based on the out come. stay tuned for updates.

In between school life and other stuff that I have been working hard on I have found the time to play a little FFXIV to help me keep sane. I like the game so far and avid readers know that I am a HUGE Square-Enix fan and while I enjoy stopping RMT parties from being active in our MMO games I feel like this is where the trade is going to end up if we do not give the community an active AH. especially since crafting jobs are available as a default in the game and so easy to level. Just my perspective, and hoping that this gets solved soon.

And I don’t know why,but the site’s pages will not load on the site ><, I’m looking into it. Just thought I would make a quick post letting everyone know that I’m not taking the site down or anything. Something’s just wrong and I’m aware and looking into it.

Basically what that means is that SXU will now be on a spontaneous update schedule. A lot is going on right now and I just have not had time to sit at my computer and draw for weeks now. between getting ready to go back to school (going back on tue.) and possibly starting a new job (I have an interview tomorrow) I’m pretty busy. Look for updates at least once a week weather it be a lite comic or a full on SXU post. I will just post them as I finish them rather than on any specific date. Thanks for those of you who continue to read and I apologize to those of you who get bored with my lack of updates.

Going back to school

Yes I am doing it. After 3 years if real bed procrastination i have made the call to go back to school. What does this mean for SXU? well I will still be trying to make posts. I’m not sure how the updates will work but I’m going to work it out. I’m starting classes Sept. 14 (the same day halo reach launches ><). I’m exited and wanted to let you (the faithful readers that keep me working) that it might further effect comics. I pretty much suck at keeping a steady update anyways.

What I think will end up happening is that I will try to post the main comic 2 times a week and get lites up if I can manage. So chances are if there is nothing funny happening out in the world I won’t post one. The goal is to keep the story based portion of the site driving forward. going to go now and sleep I have a busy day of changing my address tomorrow. Stay tuned!
