Playing catch up :(

Sorry guys but there will not be a new SXU comic today due to me trying to catch up and finish old comics and trying to get acen stuff ready. I will how ever be posting a new SXU lite today so stick around for that . Comic [0009] is almost finished and colored and should be up within the next 2 hours. Thanks for your continued patients and support, I have been working my ass of this week to finish old stuff so we can get back on track.

Acen aproaches

So Acen is fast approaching leaving me working full time on things I have to finish. For anyone not familiar with ACEN it’s a Chicago land anime convention that we have been going to for about 4 years now…Until recently I had been doing SXU as a hobby, but this year we will be trying to build it into something more. I’m hoping to get some people to link back and forth with, and all money will be going into an advertising campaigns that I have been slowly building and running with money earned so far from things.

We will be there in the artist alley selling prints and maybe some posters of our work and all the money earned will be getting put back into building our site and getting readers, so if your going or want to go please stop by and support SXU because uh well… we love you . anyways I have a lot to work on so I’m back to work for the day. I will be responding to any comments or questions left on this post for the rest of the day so please comment if there is anything you want to know ^_^.

Co-Writing Rantage?

Ohkay guys, so I was supposed to do this earlier, but I suck, so here I am, three or four or whoever knows how many days later than intended doing an intro postish thing.
Firstly, if you couldn’t guess, I’m Sheldon; the new co-writer. Secondly, my avatar is currently a Lapras because Lapras does in fact kick ass and take names. I dare you to question it.
I’m addicted to silly video games, nothing cool like CoD or L4D. So if you were gonna get all excited about me ranting about video games or something, don’t. I play Super Mario 3. and Pokemon Red-Crystal (with an occasional dabble in Ruby or Fire Red if I’m feeling real risky). I’m not big on the whole new console stuff. I’m lame, I know. But I’m a broke teenager, what do you expect?
I’m in love with typewriters. I listen to AM Radio and lately have been addicted to Kate Nash. I live in Michigan, and I enjoy an infrequent jar of dill pickles. I’m slightly lame, and I know it, but I’m thoroughly excited about getting on board with this comic! Any questions? Leave a comment. =P

Comments on “Sparkle, Sparkle” and “Digivolution”

First of all I agree Vampires do NOT sparkle. The also can not walk around in daylight. This is one of my main reasons for hating the current vampire craze. You can still have all the romance and selfishness from the Twilight movies with the classical representation of the vampire mythos (Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a great example.)

And when it comes to Jushin he did not digivolve becuase he is NOT a Digimon, he is a POKEMON! Some of the key differences between the two are: unlike Digimon Pokemon most can not evolve at will, Pokemon will not revert to their previous forms after their energy is drained, and most Pokemon require a catalyst of some sort to evolve; such catalysts can be a stone of certain origins/characteristics, reaching a certain level of emotion, and the time of day/type of area they are in when they reach said level of emotion. All this evidence supports my theory that Jushin is really a Teddiursa in disguise not some kind of teddy bear/digimon/robot/whatever…

Well there’s an actual rant for once O.o And with that I am going to go back to mourning the death of my 360′s GPU for the second time this month…stupid cheap design of pre-Jasper models…

New co-writer

Just so everyone knows Tom is stepping down as co-writer, this choice was because he has a lot of stuff going on and hasn’t really been actively helping here. Tom will still be a part of everything, like ranting and feedback but will not be a creative part of the project. I have a new writer lined up to support me and help me with plot lines and other creative input. I’ll let her introduce herself.
